Your Body Isn’t Failing You, It’s Trying to Talk to You

Episode: Overcoming Burnout: Hormone Health and Energy Reset Empowering Women, Transforming Lives | Season 11 | April 23, 2026

In this recent episode of Empowering Women, Transforming Lives, we had a conversation that felt really honest. The kind of conversation where you realize, “Oh, this is what I’ve been feeling.”

There’s a question my guest Christine Fitzgerald asked that I haven’t stopped thinking about since we recorded.

Not “What should I do today?” but this:

“What is my body asking for right now?”

Such a small shift. But honestly? It changes everything.

Christine is a clinical nutritionist and hormone expert who experienced early menopause at just 20 years old, was told she’d likely never have children, and went on to have two beautiful kids in her forties. She didn’t get there by pushing harder. She got there by getting curious about what her body was actually trying to say.

That’s the heart of this whole conversation.

So many of us, especially high-achieving women, have built our lives around discipline, consistency, and pushing through. And it works. Until one day, it just doesn’t. Christine calls that moment not a breakdown, but a recalibration. Your body shifting from output mode into asking for something different.

She shared three signals to listen for: Does your body need calm? Does it need a little energy and momentum? Or does it just need relief from the pressure? Name the signal. Match the response. Don’t override it.

And this one got me, being in community with other women literally raises your progesterone. Moving your hips can raise your estrogen. Sometimes the path back to yourself starts smaller and more human than we think.

If you’re not sure where to begin, Christine created a Hormone Archetype Quiz that helps you figure out which system in your body actually needs support first, no guessing, no trying to fix everything at once.

Before You Go

I just want to leave you with this:

You don’t have to earn your rest.
You don’t have to prove your worth by pushing harder.

Sometimes, the most powerful step you can take
is to pause long enough to hear what your heart, and your body, have been trying to say.

And trust that it’s leading you somewhere good.
